Our journey began in the world of cabinet making, where we honed our skills in woodworking, precision, and attention to detail. This foundation instilled in us a deep appreciation for the artistry of furniture and cabinetry, which continues to influence our designs today.

Our journey further led us into the realm of Kitchen and Bathroom design, where the harmony of practicality and aesthetics is of paramount importance. Kitchens and bathrooms are more than just functional spaces – they are the heart of a home, places where memories are made and daily rituals are performed. Drawing upon our experience in cabinet making and furniture design, we create Kitchens and Bathrooms that balance efficiency with elegance.

Our Process

Getting In Contact - After contacting us, we will send an initial welcome email with a short questionnaire about your project. This helps us understand your brief prior to our first Consult which will be held in the comfort of your home.
Initial Consult - Here we come to your home and talk through your project. This can take anywhere up to 1-4 hrs, depending on the size of your project.
Design Proposal - After the Initial Consult, we go away and draw up a budget estimate and draft up the Design Proposal. This will outline the brief and scope of your project and will have the Design Fee breakdown attached as well as a project timeline.
Concept Phase - Once the Design Proposal has been accepted and the initial deposit paid we GET TO WORK. This is a very exciting stage where your design comes to life. We create a 3D model with some initial colour and fixtures finishes. Once complete, we will send this through and invite feedback. This a great time of collaboration between us the Designer and you the Client, where we work together to unlock something truly amazing.
Final Concept & Selections Phase - Once we have come to our final concept we will make all the project selections. This is where we have our concept development meeting. Here we walk through your design and all your selections. This is a great time for feedback regarding all selections.
Documentation Phase - Once you have approved all the selections and design concept for your project, we move into the documentation stage. Here we create all the working drawings and specifications schedule. When the first revision is complete, we come to home again and go through all the documentation.
Pricing - Once all the documentation is approved, we send it off for pricing. This can take anywhere around 2 - 3 weeks. We always like to go through the pricing with you, so we can answer any questions or queries you may have.
Construction Phase - Once the pricing has been approved then your project can move into the most exciting phase, where you see your amazing renovation come to life. The duration of the construction phase can vary from 3 - 12 weeks depending on the size of the project and the availability of trades and suppliers.
Handover - Handover is the final phase where we take you through the finished product, show you how to use everything and most of all, make sure your in love with your new area.

Throughout the process it is our job to be with you through the entirety of the your project. To answer any questions, be your voice with the specific trades, initiate any design changes, and most of all, to deliver an amazing product.

Installation

At Husk design studio we start with the initial consultation where we come to the comfort of your home and talk through your exciting new project, design style and budget.

Once we have established a design brief we go away and write up the Design Proposal outlining the scope of works, an initial project estimate and design fee.

Once the Design Proposal has been excepted, we then move onto the Design Stage. This is where we create 3D digital concepts of your new design.

Initial colour and material selection will be indicated with the design concepts giving an over all look and feel to the project.

Once the final design has been settled, we then begin the Documentation Stage.

Here we create detailed working drawings and specification schedule ready for pricing.

Once pricing has returned and you the client are happy with everything, we then move to the Construction Stage.

The construction Stage is where your design comes to life.

At Husk Design Studio, we will look after your project from start to finish. We align ourselves with trusted and high quality builders, trades and suppliers.

We will organise any approvals & engineering wherever necessary and ensure we deliver an amazing product that you will fall in love with.
